BLOGMAS Day 8- Wella Oil Reflections Review

BLOGMAS so far has been mainly about Christmassy and lifestyle stuff so I thought I would add in a beauty post to mix things up a little to keep you all on your toes. As you all know the temperatures here in England have dropped rapidly, the rains been none stop and the winds have become gale force, just how I like it...not. But do you ever feel like it's your hair what's taking all the toll of the weather change? Mine seems to need extra TLC in the winter, it dries out and knots up so easily. I spend hours washing and styling it before I venture out all for me to take one step out of the door and well, I may as well not have bothered even brushing it. Why am I telling you this may you ask? Well I've found the perfect product that will keep your hair looking fresh, healthy and happy all throughout this festive season. Wella Oil Reflections rejuvenates the hair after only just one use! All you need to do is wash your hair and let it dry naturally until it's damp, then apply 3 small pumps (you may need more it all depends on the density of your hair) onto your fingers and give it a good rub in the palms of your hands. Gently distribute the product all the through the damaged part of your hair (mines mainly the mid lengths to ends as I have ombré I find the bleach tends to dry it out easily) be careful not to use too much though as it could result in making your hair look greasy. I then put my hair into a bun and leave it while I sleep, then in the morning you should see a difference straight away. You will notice that your hair now feels silky smooth and has a natural shine to it! Wella oils can also be used for styling purposes but with my hair being so fine I feel it makes it look flat and greasy, but it's different for every person. You can purchase this product from Amazon for £9.41 or you you can find a salon near you that sells this by going onto the Wella website and putting in your postcode and city.

Contains macadamia seed oil, avocado oil and vitamin E.

Look how shiny my hair is!

October Favourites

Okay so were on the 5th of November now and i didn't think it was appropriate to wait until Monday to do my October favourites post so i decided to do a mid week blog update! So today i bring to you a few of my favourite things from last month...

Its very rare i go into Primark but the other week when i was in town i decided to pop in and have a little browse, and boy am i glad i did. I came across these cute, quirky pyjamas which i immediately fell in love with! I bought two pairs (pictured below) Mickey Mouse and Olaf, they did have loads more styles such as Minnie Mouse, the unicorn off Despicable Me and panda bears, but i wasn't prepared to pay any more for pjs. These were £15 each which come on, is quite expensive from Primark. They're the softest, fluffiest, comfiest pjs i have ever worn, just perfect for winter!

Most of my makeup i buy is L'OREAL and at Boots they always have a 3 for 2 sale on so i get the chance to try out products i wouldn't normally buy other than my necessities. With my last purchase i bought some foundation, concealer and this little beauty, the brow artist kit. I normally use brown eyeshadow for my eyebrows as i dont have to fill them in or shape them too much, but i am loving this kit recently and I use it everyday. In this little compact it comes with a wax which apply first to hold the hairs in your desired shape and then you put on the brown powder to fill in the gaps. Ive got the shade light to medium but it does come in variety of shades. It usually costs £9.99 but like i said at Boots its 3 for 2 so i got this free *yay*. Definitely worth the money though.

My last favourite for October is this strawberry body lotion from Avon. I use this cream every night on my hands as for some reason they dry up pretty fast, especially in this cold weather thats now arriving. I know this sounds daft but it is the perfect consistency as i hate body cream that's too thick and goes greasy/oily. It easily rubs in leaving your hands feeling soft and rejuvenated! Plus you only need the minutest pea sized amount to cover the full hand.

There you go, these are my October favourites. I will be making this a monthly ritual to show you all my favourites and what i'm loving from month to month. Ciao for now, see you next Monday!

New CID Mascara Review

Every month I buy the Cosmopolitan magazine, not only do i love the juicy content but the freebies they include are a huge plus! In this months edition Cosmo was kind enough to give us all a bottle of the New CID I-Intense Mascara (High intense volumising) in black. I am very reluctant when it comes to trying out new mascaras as i hate it when you re left with clumpy "spider legs" eyelashes, i am quite comfortable with my current mascara i own. However i had run out of my usual so i had no choice but to give this a go and boy am i glad i did. I love the brush, the texture and the end result. You can create such long looking lashes with just a few little coats.
My eyelashes really don't do this mascara justice, but trust me this is a miracle for me. I have never been able to get any mascara to help lengthen my lashes like this one has done as they are so naturally short. The brush has a profusion of bristles in a spiral like shape, so the best technique when applying is to twirl the brush and slide it up your eyelashes. This spreads out the lashes and prevents them from clumping together. I would 100% recommend this product to anyone who loves naturally looking, long eyelashes like i do!
Not only is the contents incomparable but the bottle alone is attractive to the eye. Rather than your mundane, cliché block colours New CID has made the bottle to be mirrored, how jazzy! You can purchase this product from John Lewis or the New CID Cosmetics website itself. I admit it is quite pricey at £18.50 but it is totally worth the money. I would love to hear your opinion if you have ever tried out this mascara, don't be afraid to get in touch!
