Beauty 101 - Tag

To mix things up i thought i would do a beauty tag as i havent done a tag in a while. I found this one on google and loved the questions it included, pointless random facts. Im planning to bring my December favourites very soon so keep an eye out for that!

1. Is your hair naturally curly or straight?
My hair is very much straight

2. What is your natural hair colour?
Dark blonde

3. Do you dye it yourself or go to a salon?
Ive only ever had highlights in my hair twice and ombred once, each time i went to the salon no way would i do it myself (even though i am qualified to do so)

4. How often do you wash your hair?
Every night. Theres this myth that washing your hair is bad for it but it is infact untrue. I backcomb my hair and use a lot of hairspray each day so i feel so mucky when i dont wash it before bed.

5. Do you wear the same hairstyle every day or change it?
I mainly wear my hair the same everyday, normally straight and my fringe clipped up. Some days il put a plait in my fringe and on days when im feeling veeeery lazy il just scoop it up into a messy bobble.

6. Do you do your own mani/pedi or go to a salon?
I try to do it myself but miserably fail. No way am i paying salon prices!

7. How often to you change your nail polish?
Every week, my nail varnish constantly chips and i hate scruffy looking nails.

8. Do you polish your toes in the winter, too or just in the summer?
I always have nail varnish on my toes, if not i look like i have man feet and thats not  a good look for me!

9. How long does it take to put on your makeup?
If im in a rush about 15-20 minutes if not normally about 30 minutes.

10. What do you do first? Face or eyes?
Face, its very rare i wear eye makeup except from mascara.

11. Do you "collect" makeup or just buy what you need when you need it?
A bit of both, il go through stages where i just buy makeup for the sake of it but then other times il just top up on what im running out of. All depends on how many pennies i have.

12. How often do you wear false eyelashes?
Almost never. I think i have worn false eyelashes about 5 times in my life and that was either for prom, a dance show or just a night out.

13. Do you do a full face of makeup every day?
Yes,  feel really lazy if i dont put on my makeup.

14. Do you wear makeup when you are home alone (or with family)?
Yes like i said above i wear it every single day.

15. Will you leave the house without makeup?
Absolutely, it doesnt bother me if people see me without makeup, i only apply it normally everyday because i like to make the effort and myself feel alive and well.

16. How many high end products do you have?
Only a handful, mainly brushes.

17. How often do you wash your makeup brushes?
Not as often as i should...

18. Do you plan your OOTD every night or decide when you are getting dressed?
If im going somewhere important or early in the morning i will plan but normally i just roll out of bed and randomly choose clothes.

19. How often do you change your handbag?
probably every few months. Im in love with the Ted Baker shopper bags atm.

20. What time do you get up & go to sleep?
Okay so im in a really bad sleeping pattern at the minute due to working hours. Lately ive been going to sleep around 2 am and getting up at 11am, thats really lazy i know but i cant help it. A few months ago i wouldnt be in bed past 9!

21. How often & when do you workout?
I used to exercise LOADS when i was at school but ive become a major couch potato. However these past few days ive done lots of exercising, like last night me and my boyfriend went for a half an hour jog. Was so rejuvenating.

22. Left-handed or Right-handed?
Right handed.

23. How tall are you?
I think about 5 foot 9 Inches. Pretty tall for a girl.

24. Do you speak a foreign language?
Nope tried learning spanish once. I can now say hello and goodbye.

25. How many pets do you have?
Just one, my beautiful doggy missy!

26. How often are you on Blogger?
I check it everyday but only post twice a week. I would love to posting everyday but due to the demands of everyday life i just dont have the time:-(

27. Do you read the comments posted blogs?
Yes.

28. Do you keep a list of products to try as you see other posts?
Yes i love reading other peoples reviews and testing out new products. Most of the time you find something that you would never have found on your own.

29. How did you come up with your blog name?
I have been called Misskeeleah on instagram for a while so i just kinda went with that.

30. What kind of camera do you use for photographs?
Im not a professional so i just my bog standard iphone camera, i still manage to get some pretty good shots, its all about the technique.

31. How often do you clean your house? (Daily, weekly, other)
My mum mainly does it (as i live with my parents) but i help out as much as i can by keeping my things tidy.

32. What is your favourite colour?
I don't exactly have a favourite colour, i like black and white when it comes to clothes, pink for my bedroom and cream for decor.

33. What is your favorite beauty/fashion magazine?
This may sound very cliche but i love cosmopolitan and glamour.

34. Do you swear?
Not very often no and if i do its only the minor words.

35. What are you doing with the rest of your day?
Well right now it is 11.30 at night so after this i will be reading my book - Girl Online On Tour, and then going to beddy byes.

BLOGMAS Day 17- Christmas Nail Art Tutorial

I am so so so disappointed! I'm late publishing BLOGMAS day 17! I've had this post wrote out ready all day but for some reason completely forgot to post it live to the blog. I can't believe it, I'm so sorry guys:-( anyway...

Ive been practicing some christmas themed nail art ready for next week and just wanted to show you guys what idea i came up with. Im no nail technician and struggle doing intricate nail art as my hands shake so bad for some reason, i get nervous because i always mess up my nail varnish haha! I had a look on pinterest for some inspiration and decided to do a simple santa hat feautire nail, along with red and silver nail varnish on the rest of the fingers. Ive took a step by step photo tutorial for you just incase any of you want a go at it.

Please remember like i said im no nail technician and these are not perfect, Its just a bit of festive fun ready for the big day. All I used to create this look was red, and silver nail varnish and then white and black nail art pens which you can pick up at Argos, boots, superdrug or other places like that.

BLOGMAS Day 11- How To Maintain A Summer Glow All Year Round

Winter blues getting you down? Not many people pamper themselves in the winter, because well, why bother? Why shave your legs when you wear long bottoms all the time, why paint your toe nails when all you wear is boots, why tan yourself when the only time you get your body out is when you're in the shower alone? There's no point is there, but it's things we need to keep doing for our own pleasure. It doesn't hurt to pamper yourself every now and again to boost your mood and self confidence. So I wanted to share with you in just 5 steps on how I try to keep that summer glow in my skin all year round.

1) Whilst in the shower I use a scrunchie to exfoliate my body to remove all the dead skin cells. It's also great to help remove dry skin and to even up patchy fake tan. I then like to use Dove body wash as it literally does leave your skin feeling silky smooth and hydrated.

2) Every morning and night after the shower I moisturise my face using the 'Simple Kind To Skin Hydrating Light Moisturiser' (which is in one of my previous posts "my top tips for clear skin"). It's the best face cream I have ever found, It's not too thick it's not too thin and it doesn't make your face feel/look greasy. I suffer with dry skin in the winter and by just applying a pea sized amount of this cream twice a day helps a lot.

3) I have recently tested out the 'Clinique Moisture Surge Face Mask' and I'm loving it! It's an overnight face mask so it's completely fine to sleep with it on, it's not a thick face mask and you can't physically see that you're wearing it, it's more like a moisturiser basically. I wash it off the next morning whilst in the shower and I love how you can literally see instant results, it leaves your face looking and feeling glowy and moisturised.

4) Every night before I go to sleep I moisturise my hands using the 'Avon Care Glycerine Hand & Nail Cream' it works like a dream for my dried up hands, just after one use you will be repaired! I always thoroughly massage the cream into to my skin to ensure its penetrated well and does the job.

5) since I'm so pale I fake tan every week. I use the 'St Moriz' tan which is known as the St Tropez "knock off" but i have spent ridiculous amounts of money in the past on St Tropez to only end up disappointed with the results. I found that as the St Tropez fake tan was wearing off it made my skin look horrible and scaley, it was also so difficult to get the tan to apply evenly on the skin. So yeah that's when I tried St Moriz and I have never looked back. I use the medium brown mousse and it gives you such a soft sun kissed look. It applies so easily and when it washes off it comes off so evenly and just gradually fades. I always ensure I exfoliate between applications because I hate it when someone applies fake tan on top of fake tan, it just doesn't create a good look at it all. Anyway I have planned to write a full post on exactly how I apply my fake tan but I don't know when I will be doing that yet.

So that's how I try to keep the summer glow all year round. I've mainly focused on explaining how I look after my skin as that's what I believe to be the most important aspect when trying to maintain that summery look. Obviously I do advise you to paint your toenails and shave your legs because you're worth looking after, you're worth being made to feel good, and hey even treat yourself at your local beauty salon once a month and have someone else pamper you, because you're worth it! Sorry Loreal I stole your slogan, oops.

BLOGMAS Day 8- Wella Oil Reflections Review

BLOGMAS so far has been mainly about Christmassy and lifestyle stuff so I thought I would add in a beauty post to mix things up a little to keep you all on your toes. As you all know the temperatures here in England have dropped rapidly, the rains been none stop and the winds have become gale force, just how I like it...not. But do you ever feel like it's your hair what's taking all the toll of the weather change? Mine seems to need extra TLC in the winter, it dries out and knots up so easily. I spend hours washing and styling it before I venture out all for me to take one step out of the door and well, I may as well not have bothered even brushing it. Why am I telling you this may you ask? Well I've found the perfect product that will keep your hair looking fresh, healthy and happy all throughout this festive season. Wella Oil Reflections rejuvenates the hair after only just one use! All you need to do is wash your hair and let it dry naturally until it's damp, then apply 3 small pumps (you may need more it all depends on the density of your hair) onto your fingers and give it a good rub in the palms of your hands. Gently distribute the product all the through the damaged part of your hair (mines mainly the mid lengths to ends as I have ombré I find the bleach tends to dry it out easily) be careful not to use too much though as it could result in making your hair look greasy. I then put my hair into a bun and leave it while I sleep, then in the morning you should see a difference straight away. You will notice that your hair now feels silky smooth and has a natural shine to it! Wella oils can also be used for styling purposes but with my hair being so fine I feel it makes it look flat and greasy, but it's different for every person. You can purchase this product from Amazon for £9.41 or you you can find a salon near you that sells this by going onto the Wella website and putting in your postcode and city.

Contains macadamia seed oil, avocado oil and vitamin E.

Look how shiny my hair is!

Clinique Pamper Morning

Hi all i hope you've had a good week and i hope everyone in the UK has had a great 5th of November! I've had a busy week i've started a new job, i've attended two firework parties, been out for a family meal and even managed to enjoy a beauty morning at Clinique, which i'm going to tell you all about.

On Saturday i went to my local shopping mall to visit Clinique with my sister in law and her mum. Both of them are very loyal customers to Clinique and wanted to introduce me to the brand, so they invited me along to a pamper morning. I didn't know what to expect as I have never been to a thing like this before. As we arrived we were greeted and escorted into a secret beauty room hidden at the back of the store, it was so soothing a peaceful! There i found out we were being treated to facials. It was the most relaxing thing I have ever encountered and I never wanted it to end. The consultant used so many different products explaining all about each and every one as she was using it, it was like an angel from the heavens was gently swaying a feather over my face (okay maybe not, but it felt nice). Clinique is having an event at the minute, it's bonus time, this means if you purchase two products you get a bag of goodies free. I had a very long browse around the store, there was so many products to choose from i found it hard to narrow it down to just two! Anyway i chose a gift set and a blusher brush which i'm not going to show you today as it's a christmas present from my mum and dad so it's been put away, oooh how exciting! However i now bring to you my bag of FREEBIES!

High Impact Mascara

Moisture Surge Face Mask

Blusher

Blusher in shade Pink Love

Makeup bag which held all the freebies, how cute!

Moisture Surge moisturiser

Lipstick (doesn't state what shade)

Serum, Makeup remover, Facial Wash, Dark Circles Remover, Lipstick, Serum, Mini Mascara
We received a lot of freebies which i'm sure will last a long time. So far ive tested out the mascara, moisturiser, face mask, lipstick and blusher so if you would like an in depth review on any of these products do let me know. I would highly recommend to you to book a pamper morning if you can as it's a great way to get to know the products and to find out just exactly what your skin needs to be rejuvenated! I'm going back again this Saturday to have my makeup done, so I'm really looking forward to that, and i will let you all know my opinion of it. I hope you've enjoyed this post, it wasn't much but i just wanted to share with you all what i've been up to this weekend and show you my new, exciting products. See you next Monday for a new post!

Please feel free to leave feedback about my blog, share to your friends, your family, your next door neighbour, facebook, ANYONE! It would be muchly appreciated... Also if you want to see me more of me go give me a cheeky follow on my other social media sites. Until next time, see ya later!

October Favourites

Okay so were on the 5th of November now and i didn't think it was appropriate to wait until Monday to do my October favourites post so i decided to do a mid week blog update! So today i bring to you a few of my favourite things from last month...

Its very rare i go into Primark but the other week when i was in town i decided to pop in and have a little browse, and boy am i glad i did. I came across these cute, quirky pyjamas which i immediately fell in love with! I bought two pairs (pictured below) Mickey Mouse and Olaf, they did have loads more styles such as Minnie Mouse, the unicorn off Despicable Me and panda bears, but i wasn't prepared to pay any more for pjs. These were £15 each which come on, is quite expensive from Primark. They're the softest, fluffiest, comfiest pjs i have ever worn, just perfect for winter!

Most of my makeup i buy is L'OREAL and at Boots they always have a 3 for 2 sale on so i get the chance to try out products i wouldn't normally buy other than my necessities. With my last purchase i bought some foundation, concealer and this little beauty, the brow artist kit. I normally use brown eyeshadow for my eyebrows as i dont have to fill them in or shape them too much, but i am loving this kit recently and I use it everyday. In this little compact it comes with a wax which apply first to hold the hairs in your desired shape and then you put on the brown powder to fill in the gaps. Ive got the shade light to medium but it does come in variety of shades. It usually costs £9.99 but like i said at Boots its 3 for 2 so i got this free *yay*. Definitely worth the money though.

My last favourite for October is this strawberry body lotion from Avon. I use this cream every night on my hands as for some reason they dry up pretty fast, especially in this cold weather thats now arriving. I know this sounds daft but it is the perfect consistency as i hate body cream that's too thick and goes greasy/oily. It easily rubs in leaving your hands feeling soft and rejuvenated! Plus you only need the minutest pea sized amount to cover the full hand.

There you go, these are my October favourites. I will be making this a monthly ritual to show you all my favourites and what i'm loving from month to month. Ciao for now, see you next Monday!

ESPYS 2015: Kylie vs Kendall

Kylie and Kendall Jenner have once again gone all out for another red carpet event. Everyone has gone crazy over Kylies gold sequin turtleneck gown by Lebanese designer Shady Zeineldine. However im not took up on this dress, i personally thought it was a bit too in your face, quite cabaret like i suppose. Kylie on the other hand didnt fail to disappoint. The 19 year old selected a more classy style by fashioning a black sheer chiffon Alexandre Vauthier Couture design featuring sheer panels and sequin accents, plus Stuart Weitzman heels. Other than the dress i thought Kylie looked amazing, i loved her gold metallic shadow and a matte mauve lipstick. i always envy how flawless her skin is, especially for a 17 year old teenager, how does she do it? Both sisters chose to wear their hair down, Kendall with a middle parting, tucking pieces behind her ears and letting the length fall down her back, while Kylie had an off center parting with textured waves and no extenisons (Loving the natural look Kylie!) Overall both of the stars looked stunning but maybe tone the dress down next time Kylie?

Let me know what your opinion is of the Jenners outfits...
